About Devonshire Downs...
Welcome to Devonshire Downs Mobile Home Park. This family owned park was purchased in its "infancy" stage in 1968 by the Craven Family. Back in the "good ol days" many a prospective retiree was seeing the USA from the old Chevrolet and pulling a fancy Airstream Trailer behind them. In route they were looking for the "Perfect" retirement spot to settle and enjoy the Golden Years. This was after World War II and we had many American Veterans with years of history and loads of work experience. Devonshire Downs was 1/3 built with a beautiful clubhouse and very nice common facilities to entertain those new arrivals. As those early settlers came to California and found our beautiful valley, perfect warm sunny weather, and reasonable cost of living...they settled into our park and we began to develop the final 2/3 as the retirees just kept coming.
In 1968, Bill and Mary Craven were the onsite owners who managed and helped the park grow and develop with the sense of family and togetherness still found today. Over the years, family members, and the next generation of relatives have kept that same standard of personal attention to ongoing maintenance and improvements. We still have many of those residents who first came to settle in our Park and they remain as happy and content as when they first arrived. We have celebrated several 100 year birthdays in our park, along with several over 90s parties to celebrate our residents with the longest tenancy records.
We continue to take personal pride in Devonshire Downs MHP and keep our park in the highest of standards. We provide lots of activities to promote a healthy active life style. We have a new generation of retirees who are looking for a great place to enjoy the "golden years", live an active healthy life, and be a part of a fine neighborhood and a strong community.
